Parrot Central CrossThere are so many people out there that are trying to get into the hobby of flying drones, but they have problems, because they do not know what they’re looking at – some of them are mis-lead on the Internet, because people give false information and reviews (that’s not going to happen here).

Flying drones can be a really fantastic hobby and great fun for users of all ages and abilities. However there are unfortunate accidents where crashes and breakages happen. In these cases it is often a difficult decision over whether to invest in a whole new product or try to repair the old one.

Like purchasing any product, research is the first step to finding the correct product for the job. I recently came across the Parrot Central Cross replacement for the Parrot A.R drone 2.0 and would like to share my findings with you.

Description of the Parrot Central Cross

The Parrot Central Cross is the central structure of the Parrot A.R drone 2.0. It’s made from PA 66 (Nylon) high grade plastic with a 4 PA 66 motor mount and 4 crossed fibre carbon tubes inserted, and it’s specifically designed to be light and strong.

Features and Benefits

The features and benefits really stand out from the crowd on this one (this is what really caught my attention) …

  • The Parrot Central Cross is made from high grade plastic making it light yet durable.
  • The Item weighs 6.4 ounces and is solar powered.
  • It has two wire beams. One is designed to bring battery power to the engines and the other is composed of a 5V to control every motor.
  • The item has an instructional arrow printed on it to direct the user which way it should be inserted into the existing Parrot A.R drone 2.0.

Pros and Cons

The main pro of the Parrot Central Cross is that is allows the repair of a brilliant investment product; the Parrot A.R drone 2.0. Using this product means that hobbyists are able to get their product back to being airworthy without having to invest in a whole new drone. The complete design of the Parrot A.R drone 2.0 is set up for this purpose, the drone is extremely repair friendly as a screwdriver is not necessary to open up the drone, and the central cross pulls easily out of the foam shell. Some tools are necessary to replace the central cross but these are included in the package so users get straight into the repair as soon as the product is received. The main con of this product is that the repair can be a relatively long process because there are some technical fiddly bits involved. However overall the repair is a straightforward and easy process it can just be moderately time consuming.

Conclusion

The Parrot A.R drone 2.0 has been shown to be really earth-shattering product. It is an exceptional piece of engineering that many hobbyists would not want to lose. Purchasing the replacement Parrot Central Cross product can enable this great drone to get back in the air. Although the repair process is relatively straightforward there are still some fiddly parts that a hobbyist with some experience in repairs would find easier to navigate. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody who has suffered a breakage in their drone’s original central cross. It’s worth the time and effort to get the drone back in the air. So there you have it, one of the best drones is right in front of you.
